# SFTP



SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) is a secure network protocol used for transferring files over a secure connection, providing encryption and data integrity.

## What you can do with this integration

The integration for HTTP lets you:

* **Read user data from SFTP servers** and unify them as user profiles inside Krenalis.
* **Write unified users back into SFTP servers** and keep the target synchronized over time.

You can use it both to **collect user data** and to **activate user profiles**.
